hi guys,
i really need ur help on this one.I am not much of a computer person so i am having trouble figuring out this one.when i boot my new sony vaio TZ-170N i get a error message which reads -> TCG error:TPM initialization failed
press F1 to continue.
When i press F1 everything happens smoothly and all my functions are working perfectly.I know this isnt a big issue but i would really really like to get rid of this as this pops up very time i BOOT my windows.Help is appreciated!!!
-
thank you.I shall try that out ......fingers crossed hope it works
-
even if i DISABLE it and reboot the screen always reads upon reboot ->
Security Chip State: Enabled
Change TPM State : No Change
just one more question :Is this a serious issue or can i neglect it for the time being.
Thanks again!!! -
I seem to have the same problem.
The error message "TCG Error: TPM Initialization Failed" will not go away.
I have tried to talk to the chat with the sony support team, but the representative kept telling me to uninstall and re-install the TPM infineon software(which I tried to no success of course)
Anyway, I have even tried to update to the new bios for the vista (nevertheless I still have XP)
Now, every time I try from the bios to enable the TPM, it always gets disabled next time I check it.
I would suspect that my action of reseting the data of the TPM from the bios made me lost the ownership (not definitely sure what that may mean)
In addition, after this change, the recovery utility does NOT recognize my computer and I cannot return to the original state.
My sz330p was a disappointing buy, right from the start.
Any idea would be much appreciated -
I sort it out!
ALL network drivers (bluetooth+wlan+wwan_cingular) must be properly installed in order for the TPM to work.
Another "happy" weekend :-(
Another disappointment from the Sony Vaio support :-(
URGENT!!!!plz help
