Ok...the struggle continues but I think I may be making progress after having been on the phone with SonyStyle USA yesterday and this morning SonyStyle BE to purchase a US laptop with a Belgian credit card to ship internationally (or even ship to the States).
I'd have to find a US Sony dealer as Sony itself does not do this. After some tips by other forum members I found:
www.sparco.com (no answer from their mail yet)
but I'm still looking for some others so any help on that would be appreciated.
I will update this first thread with additional dealers posted.

I don't believe Sparco or any US company will take a foreign creditcard.
Why don't you pay with bankwire?
almost every US company will ship worldwide. -
Proportable will definitely ship international, but they won't take international credit cards anymore I don't think. Contact them about it though.

Bank Transfer, Paypal would also be fine...grrr...very frustrating that with what is supposed to be an international credit card its so hard to purchase things outside of Europe.
Ok its understandable that they're careful about fraud...but I mean in the case that there is no fraud and I can fax through copies of bank statements, id card, etc. etc... -
I believe Proportable would accept bank transfer and ship internationally, but I urge you to call and/or email them about it.

Select your model here: http://computers.pricegrabber.com/laptop/p/13/
and select the store you want, and pay by banktransfer. -
Guys you're great and a big help already. I placed an order via PortableOne via Google-Checkout which verified the address to be fine, yet I could still not ship internationally (filling everything in online) so I'm having it sent to a friend's address in the US... Hope that will not bring any troubles, anyways, calling to confirm that the order is right and that shipping/payment is also fine, should they be fine, maybe even try to get them to ship it internationally.

Yes good work.
My experience is that it usually works best to just call them. If you use Voipbuster you can call for free to US. -
Mmm no not yet...grr..had to cancel order as there was still a problem with the credit card...Gonna give them a call this evening and try arrange it all over the phone...
I already feel it'll be such a relief when I finally see an SZ6 arrive here. -
hmm i feel like I've told you now 4 times so this will be the last time I try
They will not accept a foreign credit card. They do accept bankwire (=bank transfer)

When I was purchasing from Dell US a couple of years ago, I ran into a similar problem. I was actually staying in the US on a long holiday, and wanted Dell to deliver to a US address, on a UK credit card. In the end, after speaking to my bank, all I needed to do was add an authorised address onto my card, which was the US address the delivery was being made to.
The bank said they had not declined the request for money, and they could see Dells attempts, but Dell never completed the transaction ( they didn't know why!) Once I had added the US address all was fine.
