The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    USB 3.0 Devices not recognized in USB3.0 port

    My 3.0 slot (one closer to 2.0) won't recognize my usb 3.0 flashdrive.

    I tried to update drivers through Microsoft's online check, but a message says they are already updated. At the same time, my bottom 3.0 port is recognizing it properly, beating the 12mb/s transfer rates of the top 3.0 slot.

    Any tips? :(
