Hi everybody. Im looking for a Sony Vaio for my girlfriend and after googling for a while I found out that FW series looks beautiful while still cheap. But it seems they have thoudsand different FW notebooksand I can't figure out those numbers like 390, 590 or 380... mean. I have just sold my laptop so I do the searching on my tiny iPhone which make it a nightmare to dig deep into those stuff.
Can anyone give me some basic idea of how to look at those codes? Which one is the cheapest one at standard config? Beside FW series is there any series that look nice and kinda affordable.
Thank you guys![]()

Silly Honey, Could you please share your understanding on the different models of FW series... I am also in a state of confusion on different FW model series... 510F, 590FSB, 560F...

FW5 90 is a CTO (custom to order) model. The rest FW510, FW560, etc. are all pre-config (made to specific standard configs based on model numbers) models.
The FW successor is the Vaio F series. -
You can find several FWs in the clearance (choose "type of deal" clearance and not refurbished) in the Sony Style Computer Outlet.
