I installed Preview Catalyst 12.1 + Intel 2559 package and I noticed problems with automatic screen backlight adjustment. It's not dynamical, I would say it's rather jump from one setting to another.

To resolve this problem I suggest to reinstall Intel's drivers. In my case that helped.

Can you give us an installation step-by-step - did you a clean install with deinstallation of older drivers first or an update installation?

Especially for this drivers I've made full graphic drivers deinstallation (manager + DriversSweeper) and then installed this drivers package. Unfortunately, as I said before, I had to reinstall Intel's drivers.
So far everything works flawless and without problems.

when you say you "had to reinstall Intel's drivers", to which version of Intel's drivers are you referring exactly?

I'm referring to Intel's 2559 drivers. In package you can find 2559, but in my case it cause strange screen backlight adjumstment, so I reinstalled then with standalone modded 2559.

BTW On Preview Catalyst 12.1 in SPEED mode, YouTube player seems to not working properly. (green screen after click play button)

    thanks! :)
another question: if you're overclocking your GPU, can you change the core voltage with the new drivers? apparently, with 11.10 and later drivers, the ability to tweak the GPU voltage was removed. i was wondering if you have tried that?

But if you could recommend good program to overclock Radeon in notebook then I could try ;)

Installed the driver on my machine.

First, in the device manager the ATI Radeon is recognized as HD6700 - not as HD 6650 as before

Second, there was one Warning true the setup, i think this is from the missing WHQL signature?

Third, missing settings part for intel on context menu - maybe it´s possible to fix this through registry?

    Thanks for the work!

    ^ I don't game, so I wouldn't notice that sort of thing.

However, I can say that the video on the PMD VGA port has sharpened up noticeably.

What do you mean with that?

I can only reach the ATI settings through context menu, not the intel part. Maybe this is caused as i installed the driver as update over the current one?

make sure u have this registry key to re-enable the intel options in context menu:
or reinstall the graphics drivers from intel.

I updated my system with the 11.21 drivers and am definitely seeing an improvement.
Strangely enough with the Sony drivers my system would always want to switch to the Intel card when I connected to the PMD with a monitor attached. Now it is behaving properly.
I also seem to see more accurate colors and a sharper image on my Samsung HMDI connected display, but that might just be purely subjective as I can obviously not compare it side to side.

I´ve switched back to the driver shown in my signature, done this by uninstallation the newer ones, run drive sweeper, reboot and installation.

There is one point i´m not sure, in the CC the driver version is shown as 11.12 UnFL Version, is this not the newer one?

Is this the exact driver version from the sony package?

    PHP:
Expected, due to the way it's implemented. It's turned off the driver signing requirement for Windows. As such, I'll disagree with the claim that it "...will enable installation of modified files* on x64 without affecting performance or exposing itself" (the latter part), considering that the whole point is to open a security hole that it can use itself. Especially since the listed claims aren't true (signed drivers don't give Microsoft any money, only the certificate providers - WHQL is a different matter, but non-WHQL official drivers are readily available).

In any case, that's the tradeoff. Allow for unsigned drivers so that you can use third-party packages like leshcat, or wait for officially signed drivers.

I went through a command-line procedure but when I rebooted later, the drivers seem to have been affected.

I think there's some registry mechanism, but haven't had time to look for it. Do you have a link?

I would really like to hear from any gamers out there that have updated these new drivers. Does it now run like a 6630/6650 should? Modern Warfare 3, BF3, Skyrim and SFIV.

Please post results or increased performance.

I have lost right click context menu again! Definitely has something to do with plugging in HDMI (or messing around with multiple monitors). I have this key in registry, however no context menu options. Reinstalled GPU drivers for second time. Any way to resolve this for good?

Overall, is there any downside to updating to these newer universal drivers?
