Hi. Today i install many new updates from here http://esupport.sony.com/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=VGNSZ250P&UpdateType=Updates . But one update KB896256 dont want to install correctly. After i install it many icons from tray disappeared (Norton, intels wi-fi, power, bluetooth...). After i make system restore, icons appear and all work fine. So how to install this update without these problems?

This note accomanying the file may hold a clue as to why it caused your system to behave so strangely :

NOTE: This driver is for use when performing a clean install of the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system (i.e., from a commercial, off-the-shelf, version rather than using the Recovery Wizard or Recovery Media).

It almost sounds as though this wasn't really meant to be an update to an existing system, per se.
