    I have Sony Vaio VGN-CR14GN

I want to upgrade my ATI X2300 to something better, money is not a problem here.

Can i also upgrade from 100GB HDD to SSD?

umm..you can't upgrade the GPU. Most laptops have it soldered onto the motherboard. You have to buy a new laptop altogether if you want better graphics performance.

That's not entirely true. You can't upgrade the embedded or discrete GPU's in most laptops, but there are options.

Not sure how practical this is. I'm generally against laptop accessories that prevent portability.

If money isn't an object, get a new machine. Your VGN-CR14GN is old enough where you would be better off with a new system anyway.

And yes, you can replace your HD with an SSD but that is like putting Z-rated racing tires on a Gremlin.

    Best thread title ever, btw
