Can a VGN-NS240E with Vista be upgrades to Windows 10? Would I have to upgrade to Windows 7 first?
I do not do any gaming or photography.

Vista is not included in the "free upgrade", so you would not get the upgrade for free.

You could however buy a "windows 10 - oem" dvd (from newegg, amazon, etc..) for around $100 and install it yourself. It probably won't "upgrade" from vista meaning it will want to wipe all your files, documents and pictures and do "clean" install. You would need to save all your files / pictures to a flash drive or somewhere else.

That being said, you may have major compatibility problems with windows 10 because your laptop is older and the last drivers released for that model are for windows 7.
