After enabling the advanced menus in BIOS, everyone can see that a Z with normal HDD also has the option "RAID" in the "SATA Controller Mode" setting.

I wonder if it is possible to just replace the HDD interface with the raid cable, and install 2 x upcoming Intel X18-M 320G = 640G?

If this works then theoretically even a low-end Z can achieve 500MB/s read and 150MB/s write without wasting money in buying a raid configured Z!

Of course it's possible you don't even have to get the advanced menu. I did it on my TT just install the 2 SSD with the raid cable and flash your BIOS to any available from Sony it will then just recognized the RAID setup and show just the RAID menu you can then still flash to any BIOS version the RAID option will stay. With the hack it will just be for sure easier to do
