    Hello all!

I upgraded both my 256 MB of Ram in my Vaio PCG-K45 (a total of 512 MB of RAM) with 2 sticks of 512 MB of RAM (a total of 1 gig). I know that the computer can only handle 1G of ram (did research on this).

I installed the RAM but the computer is not recognizing the 1G. It sill says that I only have 448 MB of RAM (due to the fact the video card takes 64 MB of the RAM).

Someone suggested to change it in the BIOS but there's no option for changing it. In the BIOs, it says that I only have that much of RAM as well though. So I don't know what's wrong.

I tried one of the 256M and one of the 512M ram together, but it still say that I only have 448M of RAM. I'm a bit annoyed and it's a bit irritating that my computer can't read the RAM at all.

I updated the BIOS already and have no idea what's going on. If anyone can suggest anything, that'd be great.

If you need more info, just let me know and I can add as best as possible.

    Hello.

What is the spec of the RAM you install? Is this the spec of the RAM PC-2100 266MHz DDR you install or not. maybe the ram is not compatible
