Hi, i've been unable to find an answer in the forum, so thought i would just ask. I have the Sony VGN BX197XP which has the Intel M760 CPU. I was wondering if its possible to upgrade this to a "Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile T7200 "Merom" 2.00GHz (667FSB) - Socket M". The machine is out of warranty, maxed the memory out the day i got it, and will eventually replace the hard drives with faster ones, so the only other thing is to take the cpu as fast as it will go. If it wont take this CD2, what would be the max for this machine??

    I don't think so.

I think they are different socket!

I suggest you spend your money on a 7200 rpm hdd.
