    I just picked up a 500gb HDD for my vaio for cheap which i'm gonna install soon, and also wanted to upgrade my ram and put on windows 7.

    Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what the best RAM upgrade that is compatible with this model laptop. One of my mates has a spare 2gb ddr2 800 200 pin chip laying around, but i'm not sure if this is compatible.

    I'm not much of a tech head so any links to specific parts would be much appreciated

    You may want to visit http://www.crucial.com and use their tool which will scan your system and determine what RAM modules can be utilized to upgrade your laptop.

    Woowww it's so nice to see People still using the Sony Vaio VGN-FE770g.

    I have destroyed my Sony Recovery File So when i want to press F10 or F11 to go into recovery mode it dont work. I dont have a Recovery Disk and Sony USA wont send it to Europe(the Netherlands) sadly. And sony Europe says sense the is America we cant find your Recovery or send you one.Can anyone upload there DVD Recovery to Rapid Share If they have any. My Laptop is a vegetable now.My email address is [email protected]. please help me out.
