    Hi people!
I would like to upgrade the RAM on my laptop but I don't know what to buy...
How many RAM slots are avaible? I mean if there are only 2, they are both used by the actual two 1gb sticks... I then should buy a 2gb stick and replace one already installed with it...
However if they are more than 2 slots I could just buy another 1gb stick...
    Thank's for the upcoming answers.

Most laptops only have 2 memory slots, and the SZ is one of them.

Ok, thank you, but I now need to know what ram to buy...
Also will I loose a lot of power if I dont use the dual channel thing and go for only one 2gb module?

According to Sony specs sheet, your machine now has the following RAM :
    -Installed: 2GB (1GBx2) PC2-5300
    -Type: DDR2
    -Speed: 677MHz

The existing 2 slots are now fully in use. You only need to get one "2GB DDR2-667 (PC2-5300) SO-DIMM" stick, to replace one of your existing 1GB stick.

You can buy from Memory Giant which ships internationally :
