I have a vpcz133GX
128 ssd
4 g ram
Intel Core i5 m460 2.53ghz.
I'm looking for a ram and SSD and couldn't find information specific to the z13 after running a search a couple times. Can someone help me find parts compatible with my laptop and perhaps walk me through putting it together? I don't have a lot of experience with this so help would be appreciated.

Replacing Ram is easy: just need to get some DDR3 SODIMMS, open the hatch underneath the PC and replace. Note that the 4gb in there may be 2x2GB so you may have to lose some/all the original RAM to upgrade.
Replacing SSD is more difficult (and will invalidate your warranty): see http://forum.notebookreview.com/sony/511578-how-replace-ssd-vaio-vpcz11-vpcz12-non-sony-ssd.html
(or you can replace the optical drive with a hard disk - that's even more difficult) -
hi ashers, could you verify that this ram i am looking at is compatible with my computer?

^ No that's for desktop PCs.
These do fit:

I upgraded my SSD's yesterday, it is by no means an easy job and will require a huge amount of time, especially if you've never done things like this before.
There are tons of screws to be tracked, many cables to be careful of, and removing the bare SSD's from 1.8" casing is a PITA.. Took me an hour to figure it out. -
just bought that ram. hopefully it all goes well. I hear that changing ram on the z13 is fairly easy and won't require the removal of many screws. can anyone point me to a walkthrough?

Have a look in the manual. For the Z13, it's on page 148, "Adding and Removing Memory". You just need to remove two screws to open the hatch.
