    Hi, I want to upgrade memory in my Sony Vaio fs 730
    What do I need DDR2 PC 3200 or PC4200???

    This is what installed from factory.

    Use, PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM.

    You can upgrade your Sony VAIO VGN-FS730/W upto a maximum of 2.0 GB memory.

    Yes (the specs tally). However, I would use 1 GB X 2, for the 2 available slots.

    I also suspect that the maximum amount of allowed memory per slot for your system is 1 GB per slot.
