I want to upgrade SZ220 to a core 2 duo but do not know if this is possible. Does anyone know if this is possible? If so is there anything I need to know about purchasing a T7200 to replace my T2400.

Depending on what you are doing it is probably not worth it. More memory or a faster hard drive will give a bigger boost.

More than anything I want it to get my friend off my back. He has been taunting me with how much more speed you get with 4mb of cache than 2mb and he also is getting about 30min more battery life in his SZ330 than me. I just want to rub it in his face that even after I upgrade my to a T7200 or higher I still spent less than him.

He's an idiot. Dimming the screen and running in low power mode will help with the battery life.

    Hello!
I read from some guys how have changed a Core Duo to a Core 2 Duo on Sony Vaio SZ Notebooks (german notebook board). (Bios update needed!)
So it should definitly work for you!
    I want to see a REAL benchmark from a SZ2XP (Core Duo 2 GHZ) to a SZ3XP (Core 2 DUO 2 GHZ).
    Would be very interessting.
