    Hi there,

I'll be getting my new sony vaio z3 with pmd tomorrow or the next day, upgrading from the dell xps m1330. I was wondering if anybody knows if the radeon thames xt chip in the pmd is a socketed mxm chip, or if its soldered on the board? Was thinking of doing a diy upgrade...

ah well, i'll screw the warranty if the dock works and find out anyway. bet it's soldered on though... how big are the two powersupplies, the one for the laptop and the one for the pmd, in watts?

    thanks

I saw inside one briefly. 0 upgradability on the GPU unless your really good at replacing BGA soldered chips and making new ones work.
