Hello guy's,im not sure if im posting in the right section but im kind of desperate. I've got a sony vaio laptop model vgn-c1s 13.3 inch sreen.Lately its been giving me problems and now the screen went black. I can see the desktop image from an angle and i see that the desktop image doesn't fill all of the screen. It only covers half of the screen.I changed the inverter but still no luck. So let me recap: Screen doesnt backlit and the image that it shows doesnt fill the whole screen. Please guy's this is driving me crazy!!

p.s: when connected to anexternal display everything works fine.

So i guess we can rule out software issue? Anything with the bios? If the laptop stays off for a couple of days the screen works fine when i power it on,but when it runs for a bit then it goes black again.

    I dont think so.

if you have no VAIO logo with backlight - LCD is alredy silicone heaven (lamp in LCD not starting)
because you said inverter is changed

yes mate, vaio is not backlit but we hooked the screen on another inverter from a bigger vaio and the screen lit up.But still the desktop image wasn't covering the whole screen.it's like im getting the desktop size of a 10 inch laptop on my 13.3 inch screen.Could it be a bad inverter and a bad lcd cable?
