    Hi guys,

I won't go into thorough details but somehow I've deleted my windows partition. I was in paragon today deleting my ubuntu partition's and thought I might as well re-allocate this free space to my windows partition. Did a reboot and paragon booted up and ran a script. In the mean time I waited elsewhere and when I came back my laptop was switched off - the battery went flat! GRRR. Rebooted and now I get a error telling my to put in my recovery disc(s).

So I do, and get to a window saying "select an operating system to repair............if you do not see your operating system listed, click to load drivers from your hard disks". I don't see any OS's and therefore have to click to open the drivers from my HD. From here, I have no idea what to do, not a clue where to look for these drivers.

I have access to another laptop (where I'm writing now) so obtaining other boot cd's and dvd's isn't a problem.

    Hopefully someone can help!
    Regards, jam.

EDIT: I think I've found a way - I never tried clicking "next" untill now and have ran the system restore utility.
UPDATE: Process is taking a long time to "attempt to find repairs". Is this normal?

Oops! Just remember, if you're doing a restore then you're going to lose all of your files and data you previously had. If you're backed up that's fine of course.

Nope, this incident happened all in a sudden and therefore I didn't have time to backup - also I never backup in the past but I never had any important files. Most important thing is that I get vista up and running again today. The utility is taking quite a while - almost 30mins aiming to repair errors. It also doesn't let me cancel and am unsure if its doing anything although the HD led is constantly on.

Will these sony recovery dvd's actually work? I mean, I have absolutly nothing on my computer as I'm aware, no OS's. I clicked the "system repair" option - is the correct one? :S

OK, I found the correct option and now it seems to be recovering. Sorry for the pointless topic.
