    hi
    i have a lil prob
    the problem is when i connect a extrnl HDD to the usb port it says " ur device can perform faster if u connect to USB 2.0 port"
    so that means that i need to install a driver!

    my vaio came with vista basic
    and i formatted the HDD n installed win xp
    what do i have to do?help


    vaio FE 92HS
    c2d 2.0 ghz
    2 GB
    60 GB HDD
    7600 go

    I believe your using an Intel 945 chipset. Drivers for USB should be on their website, or they could be included into a single chipset driver, which is easy enough to install. Have a look and see if it works.

    i have downloaded the chipset drivers from intel n installed
    bt still its showing " ur device can perform faster if u........." :mad:
    it takes lot of time to copy files from my ext HDD.
    any ideas.
