    Can i buy a z-11 or 13 keyboard for my vpc z-12?

My problem is that i have a z-12 with backlit keyboard. Problem is that the keyboard is in english and i want danish keyboard.

Sony Denmark is very unhelpfull and the company that is the only one in denmark that are authorized to do Vaio repairs wont do the repair unless i can provide the keyboards part number(bad service).

The reason i want the z-11 or 13 keyboard is that i own a z11 allso with backlit and somehow thats easier for Sony to handle.(because my z12 isnt danish)
and i think that all z13s have backlit.

    In short.

Can i buy and use a backlit z11 or z13 backlit keyboard for my z12(with backlit) ?

    Would REALLY appreciate help here.

Hello, did you already sell your keyboard? I have a Z12 with Spanish lay-out and I would like to replace is with an US-International or the like.

also remember that you most likely will need a new frame the U.S. one(piece on top of the keyboard. i have a spare keyboard without the frame that i'd be willing to get rid of, if interested just pm me and ill try to work something out.

does this mean that the top of the notebook consists of two parts: a frame plus (separate) the keyboard? I have seen a demo on YouTube on how to disassemble a vaio z11 (or 12) and I saw that the top came off in one piece.

well... the top that comes off is the keyboard assembly which includes the frame, the actual keyboard (how would you remove the keys otherwise) and the palmrest.
