My desktop got butt-raped by retarded fish-frogs, and I dont want to build a new one just yet (got my funds tied up in the Jeep for the spring/summer), so I have been using my TZ150 and it works fine for what I use it for. (external 20" LCD, kb and mouse). My question is about heat mostly. I leave it on pretty much 24/7. I have the TZ VGP-CVT1/T leather case on it too which I imagine restricts at least some of the airflow (?).

Would I be better off removing the leather cover and using a cooler under the notebook whenever its on the desk? Is anyone else using their TZ this way? Also, how easy would it be to replace the fan in the TZ? It doesnt need replaced now, but for future reference.

I don't have the leather case, but dock mine in the TZ docking station when I get home everyday. My laptop is almost always on 24/7, and I have had no issues doing this with this laptop or any other laptop in the past. How restrictive is the airflow underneath the laptop with the CVT1/T leather case?

About the only difference is that I cover my laptop with a cloth at night to keep away the dust. I keep it on 24/7, so if you shut it down or suspend it you don't even need to do that.
