How do I install an OS from Vaio recovery discs onto virtual machine?

I get to Recovery but it says the model name is wrong. How do I fool the Recovery installer into thinking the VM is the old Vaio laptop?

Also, can I upgrade XP mode using Windows 7 Upgrade DVD?
