I am in Mexico and have not activated the Sprint Novatel card on my SZ670N with Sprint mainly because i want another service provider. I have gone to the local company (iusacell) that can provide me with the WWAN service and they have told me that they require an SPC Code (6 digit) for the card. I called Sprint to try to get it from them an they refused allegedly because it will give me access to their "network settings". Iusacel need these numbers in order to activate the card on their network. My question is does anyone know how to get this number?

Open up your notebook and find the card. It should be on a sticker on the card, itself.

Your paperwork with Sprint MAY have this information, too, but that's about all I can think of.

Will this void the warranty on the laptop?

Call or email Sony to find out. For some manufacturers it will, for others it won't unless you break something. Incidentally, Sony may have the SPC code handy, too.

Warranty will be void if I open up the computer. Anyone else know of a way to get the SPC number? Sony and Sprint have refused.

Hm, I read Sony allowed people to unlock previous SZ versions which had Cingular. I see no reason why the wouldn't allow it in their 600 series. Why don't you call Sony again, and maybe you'll get a more helpful representative?
