I have a 2010 Z series machine. I don't want to have to mess around configuring the RAID 0 set-up etc, so it would be handy if the recovery media gives me a "as new" build. Could anyone who has used the recovery disks please confirm?

    Thanks!

It can give you an as-new build, but if you unlink the raid in the Option ROM then you will have to relink it manually before you recover from the DVD's.

As long as you don't touch the Intel Option ROM you'll always be fine and a recovery disk will bring you back to factory fresh!
