    Hello guys small problem here,
    i recently reinstalled Win7 x64 on my VAIO VPCEA16FG

    it has the three buttons on top
    1 for Assist,Web and VAIO

    well the assist and VAIO buttons on top dont work,
    any idea how to do a regpatch on them or maybe do some settings somewhere?

    i installed the Sony Services, and Vaio Control centre and the media gallery

    Assist launches VAIO Care, if you don't have it installed it won't do anything.

    VAIO.. uhmm, I can't remember what it did, launched some Sony media software I think, maybe PMB. It should mute/unmute the sound on a clean install. If it doesn't, you've probably missed a Sony driver - which ones did you install?

    Settings Utility Series
    control centre
    smart network
    SFEP driver
    ips driver
    sony shared library


    did i miss somethyn?

    ok problem solved
    i had a olld version of the driver Sony Event service which didbt support my laptop :)

    well thanks a lot for ticking my head just went to check if the driver was updated and discovered i was like 3 revisios behind and i had downloaded the old versioon of the driver
