Tried searching for this but nothing came up so here goes..
I just bought the VAIO DUO 11 and I'm impressed by the build quality and the screen and I don't type for a living so the keyboard is OK too. However...
Why is there five partitions and what are they for? I know one is the OS and probably another is directly related to the OS, but that's a lot of partitions?
Also, is there a way to access the SSD with external software? I can't seem to get Acronis to be recognised on a USB drive even though it works on my
    desktop PC running 8 Pro.

You should post either in the Vaio Duo 11 owners thread, or in the general Sony forum section. Finally, the sister site of notebookreview.com, tabletpcreview.com, is much more active when it comes to the duo. Sony Tablet Forum

I'm not sure what all five are for, but
1 for general use and OS
    1 for MS bitlocker security
1 or 2 for Sony and MS recovery
