I seem to have contracted the dreaded Google redirect virus. Can someone tell me how to retrieve a clean atapi.sys for my VAIO F11 W7-64?

I made restore disks when I got it, but don't know where to look.

    Thanks!

if you have access to a Windows DVD, you can do the following:

Open command prompt as administrator (navigate the start menu to the command prompt entry in one of the sub-menus, right-click and choose "Run as Adminstrator"). Then type in:

    sfc /scannow

This will scan through all your Windows system executables and dlls, and restore them from either the DVD or the newest service pack if missing or changed.
