I replaced the 9gig drive on my F560 Notebook with a 60gig that was supposed to work but the computer wouldn't recognize it. So I put the 9gig back in and now the computer won't recognize it either. It says no disk found.

The bios were updated about 6 months ago to the latest version. I also took the drives and hooked them up to my desktop to test and format them and they were fine.

Any thoughts on what else I can do? It was working fine when I decided to upgrade the drive and now it can't even get it back to where it was.

Because this computer came 9GB hdd and you install a 60GB there is possibility the MBx of the comp cannot support the upgrade even if you upgrade the BIOS. Try to check if you connect the cable correctly . no disk found is one sign the the no device connected.

Right, but now when I put the 9GB back into the computer, it won't recognize it anymore. I inspected the cable and it looks fine, made sure it was securely in place. I tried multiple installs with the recovery disks as well as an emergency boot of a floppy as well as a system install of Windows XP, but all say there is no hard drive.
