So I got a VAIO FW, but the ordering process was a bit of a nightmare. The total came out to $1,414.99 after the student discount and black friday FW discount.

I configured and then checked out, and I wanted to take advantage of the $200 credit for a new sony card, so I applied. I was really disappointed when it only gave me a credit line of $500. I couldn't use that, so I tried applying for the Financial services card with 18-month 0%APR financing, but it said it couldn't immediately approve my application and that they'd mail me about it.

This all happened right after midnight passed, so I figured I'd wait until morning to call customer service to see if they could raise me credit line, but I called and was on hold for hours. I also tried the chat function but it kept putting me in a queue and then kicking me off, saying no agent was available.

After all this frustration I just paid with my current credit card.

Is there any way I can remedy the current situation?

I'm planning to close my Sony card account and maybe reapply some other time in the future if I want a desktop or something. I'm just wondering what I can do to get a higher credit line next time that I can actually use.

I don't know if it has to do with my credit because I checked my report recently and everything was good. I do have balances now but I pay much more than the minimum each month, and I don't have much debt.

Another question I have is that for the Sony Financial Services card, I tried inputting the Initial Purchase Amount in the box, but when I added a decimal point for the cents, it wouldn't let me input the last digit.

Has anyone completed this who can give me advice on what to do next time?

    Thanks.
