I have a Vaio Z running XP and love my machine. But for certain jobs however now I need a bigger screen and want to buy a new FW490 with a 3.06GHz Processor. The only thing is I MUST run XP 32bit. No Vista, that is out of the question. The reason why I got my Vaio Z was specifically because there were drivers for XP.

Is it possible to configure the FW to fully run XP and has anyone managed to get all drivers and install them all getting everything to work? I know there are drivers for the previous FW190 (which is bascially almost the same laptop for the most part) so id assume some of these at least should will work...

    Thanks for the input :)

I have FW190 with XP. Most Fn keys, AV Mode Key, S1 key and VAIO Power Management don't work. Other than that, everything else works perfectly. BTW, all my applications run much faster and smoother with XP.
