    okay, quick question.
now that windows 7 is out, has sony updated the bios (i have a vaio VGN-FW463J/B) so that you can run a virtual pc (aka vmware, or using that new virtualized XP feature of windows 7?
i know they talked about releasing it, but i never heard anything more about it.

The bios for the FW has been updated to enable virtualization. After you update, you need to go into the bios to enable it. You can find the bios upgrade file at the sony support site.

i cant find a download for it. i can only find the vista version, and when you run that it says i have the wrong model.
i guess i should have done it before i upgraded to 7?

you don't have to update before upgrading to windows 7. You need to use "universal extractor" to extract the exe file from the sony image executable. There are instructions, just do a search. In a nutshell, find the universal extractor program, run it, direct it to the sony bios file, extract the contents to a location like your desktop, now run the extracted file as administrator.
