Do you have intel X3100 card in the laptop, if you have nvidia, then its unlikely it also has intel, insce FZ series has only one of the above cards.

Isnt the Intel card integrated into the processor? I should have both?

Um...if I dont have the Intel card is there a way I can adjust the settings on my Nvidia card so it uses less battery...kinda like a power saver mode where it doesnt work as much?

If I remember correctly the biggest factor in power drain is the LCD backlight. Turn it down to half way will help.

I turn my back light down all the way possible but I can still only sueeze out 2:15 hours. I'm shooting for 3-ish hours....I also turn Aero off. I know the Graphics card uses alot of power.

No, you can't. FZ can only use 8400 GT. Switching to integrated Intel video card is not possible.

Nice to see you Gary It's been a while!

    To the topic creator:

I loved my FZ. It played the games I loved flawlessly : Hitman Blood Money, WOlfenstein: Enemy Territory, Half Life 2, CS: Source, ect..

However, as Gary mentioned, the screen is really really good and has 2 lamps in it to produce such great picture, but with battery life as a result.

My advice is: Put the laptop in Balanced mode and turn the brightness down to a comfortable level.

Can you change the graphic card settings to use less battery?
