    Hi

does the FZ series output audio via the 3.5mm audio jack wile using the HDMI socket?

As I have a projector that supports HDMI video but theres no passthrough for HDMI audio on the projector.

What I want to do basically is use HDMI to carry the video to the projector and the 3.5mm audio jack to carry the sound to my HIFI does it work? and also does FZ support 5.1?

    Thanks

Yes, you can still use the normal audio jack or even the laptop speakers when using your HDMI port. You can set the audio default yourself. The only way i know to use the FZ with 5.1 is through an external usb soundcard or some other sort of extension plug, it doesn't normally support this unless maybe through the HDMI port.
