I have a VAIO VGN SZ230P. It has always worked fine. Recently, it has begun to hibernate after about 5 minutes when plugged into its power supply. When on battery, it operates normally. I have tried two different power supplies, same problem. All sleep, hibernation and power setting are off, yet it still happens. All virus and malware scans come up clean.

Have you checked and verified that the hibernation settings are the same for when the notebook is on battery and on power supply
