I did a clean install of Win 7 but lost the digital compass gadget (on Desktop). Where can I find it? Thanks in advance.

I believe you posted this in the pocketables forum also... but I find this interesting! Have you gotten any information on where the Gadget gets compass information? I realize it has a built in GPS sensor, but I didn't realize it also had other sensors.... or does the Widget just pull orientation from the GPS coordinates when you move? I have a Viliv S5 that this would be really great for.

    Hi XGX2007,
No, it isn't a GPS function. It seems a magnetic field sensor chip is built in VAIO P. You have to calibrate it now and then and read the orientation without GPS signals. Unfortunately, the gadget (a desktop sidebar app) is lost during my recent Win 7 clean install. Hope you can help. Thanks in advance.
