hi there abaxter, newb here, thanks for the terrific feedback on the vaio.i just bought on for my daughter. one question i have, is were the ac adapter goes in..to the unit, is it suppose to have the male pronges side by side in that slot.? tthe ac adapter that came with it seems to be the correct one, but it also has a male single prong coming out of the hollow chrome piece that goes into the unit. is this the way it is suppose to be?, or has someone modifgied this. tyvm in advance sony

hi there, newb to these forums. i recently bought a sony vaio PCG-FRV37 for my daughter and while it works great, the ac power supply that came with it, appears not to be the right one, though it identifies as correct one. the reason im saying this is because the unit itself were the p.s goes in has two prongs side by side in it sitting on top of what appears to look like a black circular surface. the actual inlet is in right spot and the p.s would fit in the whole. another thing is that the p.s end(chrome part) has a prong also in it. does anyoone else havde this unit, who could tell me if it actually correct, and supposed to be this way, or do i need to send to sony for sevice work. the unit was bought in 04. tyvm in advance
