Question: I, like many of you, had Roxio included with the software bundle on my SZ VAIO. Whenever I have tried to open Roxio, I'll see the splash screen, the registration window, and then the application will open in a (for lack of a better word) 'ghost' window..

..what I mean is that the program will be running, there will be a little grey corner on my screen that indicates where the Roxio program is running (or some background application/desktop distortion), but I won't be able to see the window/application running at all... I can mouse-over certain parts of the application that give me options to burn media, etc, but I can't see anything.

I just tried uninstalling then reinstalling via the VAIO recovery application which seemed to work fine ---- but the program is still exhibiting the same issues.

Any ideas for other things to try? I'm stuck.

Ah.. figured it out. Another case of my GUI (WindowBlinds) not working with an application ---- disabling the skin from the app did the trick. This also happened when I first installed Dreamweaver 4 UltraDev on this machine.

    Nice work, Elizabex!
