Hi Guys, I have a VPCSA290X, and just today the touchpad just stopped working. I tried reinstalling drivers but to no avail. The touchpad doesn't even appear in Device Manager anymore

Could it be some loose connector inside? Do I have to send it in for servicing?

Did you accidentally disable it with the function key combo?

nope it doesn't matter whether i enable-disable the Fn-F1 key combo, or change from stamina to speed mode. Funny thing is it was still okay when I watched a movie this afternoon. Then now it doesn't work, even after restarting. I don't see any option in BIOS to enable/disable touchpad either. After system restore it's still the same. Kind of out of options =(

hmm it's suddenly working again all of a sudden. Could be a loose cable. Hope it doesn't come up again next time =(
