For those of you who have an SZ, you may have found that no matter what you do, your battery will always drain once your computer is shutdown. Shutdown or hibernate; remove and reinsert the battery; unplug AC adapter before shutdown - I was never able to find a method that truly turned the computer off when I kept the battery in the computer.
I think I've finally found a method though. Anyone else care to test this? The steps are really easy:
1. Shutdown or hibernate your computer
2. Turn the computer back on and and press "F2" when the VAIO splash graphic appears. This will get you into the BIOS,
3. Go to the far right menu selection, I forget the name, and select "Shutdown".
Test results below done with wireless set to the 'off' position, as some people think that may be the case for the battery drain.
Usually if I let my computer sit overnight unplugged, when I plug my computer back into the AC adapter and turn it on, Vista shows the battery level at 96-97% and charging.
When I did the steps above, and unplugged my computer, turning it on this morning with AC plugged in, vista now shows 100%, not charging. Anyone else care to try?

I've FZ, and I also noticed battery drain, but since most of the times I leave it plugged in even after shutdown so wasn't a problem as such.
I'll try what u've suggested.
