So I've had this very irritating problem for some time now and I'm wondering if any of you have experienced it.
Any time I maximize a video (embedded content like youtube or hulu) I loose the ability to "tap" with my touchpad and have to use the buttons. Even after minimizing the video, or even closing the browser, this remains for several minutes. Being a pc user, and being accustomed to tapping the pad itself, I do not like this one bit.
    Any ideas?

I have the exact same problem. Also, sometimes the cursor goes wild :D and starts wandering around the screen and clicking everywhere.

It's been discussed here too: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=276627

It used to happen more often when I had Alpps driver installed. Now that I use the one provided by win7 it happens less. But it's still annoying...
