Found this online and ordered one. It came in a very slightly "damaged" box (a couple of scrapes doesn't seem to be damaged to me) and works perfectly. I've been looking for one for almost a year but haven't been able to find one under £150 new.

It is £57 incl VAT, probably over £60 with shipping. If it had more than 14 days warranty i might be interested. The warranty is too short.
A docking station though would give my notebook a tilt on the desk which i might find useful sometimes. The ports i would have no real use for.

Depends on how often you take it outside of course. Despite not having most of my SZ's connected to anything but a cabled network, I appreciate being able to dock them with one smooth motion.

Oh all right, I lied. A couple of not so smooth motions. Especially if you're a neat freak like me who unconsciously closes the docking port when putting it into a bag then wonders why it's not docking.

I'd say the warranty shouldn't be a major issue - it'll be either broken on receipt or will work, and there's not that much to go wrong.

Mine came in the original Sony box, although it was a bit scuffed and scratched and appeared to be completely new. I would imagine it still has the Sony warranty as the papers for that came with it.

It works fine, it gives the notebook a slight angle when typing which I find better, but I guess it depends. I didn't check to see whether I was charged for shipping, but if I was, it wasn't much otherwise I would have noticed.

Ok, my fears about the warranty have been put at ease. I probably will get one.
I see now that shipping is actually free as well.

I'm sure you guys will do this anyway but I'd suggest giving all ports a go to be sure it's fully functional. If it is, you got a great deal - I don't remember paying less than £150 for any of mine.
