    Dear all,

Wondering anyone had tried installing WinNT6.1 (aka Windows 7 or Win2k8 R2) on your lappy already?

    Currently I'm having Win2k8 R2 running on my SZ55GN/B and I'm having 2 problems.
    1. Low display during system startup. Ocassionally, I noticed the brightness of the monitor went very low as if nothing was displayed when I started the system. A restart do solve the problem but I'm wondering if it has got anything to do with the software driver, or due to a more unfavourable hardware failure (FYI the NVIDIA chip on it had died). AFAIK, no official intel driver that supports windows 7 has been made available until to-date.

    2. Repeat typing issue. This is not a major issue but it is annoying. When I type the following punctuation marks: " or ' and ~ or ` into the input field of webpages e.g. google..etc (same thing happened while editing this message), they won't show up until I press the next character key.

Has anyone experienced the similar issues and had them solved? I need your advice. Thanks.

    Best,
    Ayu

OK the second problem solved. I was using US international as default keyboard last time; problem gone when I switched it back to US keyboard
