Hope someone can help me with a very simple question. I just got my sz 691n/x a few weeks ago and I initially configured it to charge to 80 and stop. Well since then I've reformatted with a Portable One disc and customized it to my very specific specifications. Only problem is... I cannot figure out how I did this. Was it a sony program or part of vista? I'm pleased it still stops at 80%, but have no idea how to change this.
    Any ideas?

Or install it from the recovery discs you did if you've deleted the app.(you did the discs right?)

Whatever you do, dont try to install the XP version of Battery Care in compatability mode because it will mess up Vista.

Charging the battery to 100% all the time is bad for the life time of the battery. Optimally the battery should be charged to 100%

Its set per battery so if you set it to 80% and put the battery in another computer it will still only charge to 80% recovering the computer still only charges to 80% so it has to be set back using the battery care function. It can be accessed from vaio control center on models that have the feature.

"Charging the battery to 100% all the time is bad for the life time of the battery. Optimally the battery should be charged to 100%"

This statement completely contradicts itself...what do you mean by it?

I'm using battery care prog, profile - super battery care, thus the battery charges to 50% max.
is it right concerning that my SZ is almost always plugged with AC adapter?
