    Anyone know the model number/part number for the blu-ray player in the vaio TT series? I am wondering if it may be transplantable into my vaio TZ. Would be interesting.

    The drive might fit, but I doubt if the TZ you have listed in your sig could play it back without lots of stuttering. It takes a decent CPU and/or GPU to decode a BR disc, especially those encoded in H264.

    Bluray is playing fine with TZ. Bluray in TT is 9.5 mm height, so it can be put in TZ. I have external bluray drive which is upgrade from stock one.
