i'm considering buying the vaio UX. deciding whether to take the core solo 1.2GHz or the 1.3GHz. price differs $150. anyone that has an experience with those, is it worth the extra 150$ for the 0.1GHz more? cuz everything else is the same.

100MHz is never worth $150...if that is the only difference than it is a rip-off.

Save your $150 and put it towards something else, maybe an accessory for your UX?

Unless you're totally CPU bound - and even that's questionable if .1 is going to make a difference - just go cheaper.

BTW, do you mean the Core2Duo 1.2 vs. the Core Solo 1.33, or the old Core Solo 1.2 vs. the Core Solo 1.33?

There's no Core Duo in the UX, only Core Solo or Core 2 Solo.

Not worth it at all. By the way, I suggest you to get the SSD model.

go cheaper, and I HIGHLY suggest that you try this out in person. These machines can be painfully slow depending on what you are doing.
