    SONY VAIO VGN-FW351J Battery Drain 100% - 10% in < 15 minutes

    Specs:
    64 Bit Win 7
    BIOS: R2060Y0

Hate to have this very long, but I gotta cover it as much I could -- so here it goes. (If this was already dealt with before, pls reply the link where I can find it) tHanks.

Has anyone come across this issue? I just recently updated my laptop from Vista to 7 and now the battery drains like there's no tomorrow. When plugged to AC the battery takes very long to charge which could take up to 3-5 hours to full; Then when unplugged, the battery drains like 3-10% per minute.

The battery is good condition prior to upgrade and it does not have an issue draining when the laptop was off OR in Hibernate overnight like others are having. It would only take 3% off overnight.

Some say it could be the BIOS, but the what I have is the updated and current version. I tried to re-update it from the driver I downloaded from the SONY website, but it tells me I have the current version.

Some also say to un-tick all the visualization , but this does not work http://www.fixya.com/support/t12894601-recently_upgraded_sony_vaio_vgn_fw351ij. The battery stabilized and did not drain, but after 5 minutes it started again.
I also uninstalled bluetooth driver, and same thing happened above after 5 minutes, there it goes again.

My last resort is to reinstall back to Vista - although, I no longer have the recovery CD's.

Would someone pls show me the solution. Thanks!

If you think going back to Windows Vista will fix your problem, you can download an image of your Vista version HERE.

Activate it using the serial on the COA sticker on your laptop.
