    Hello,

I am having some problems burning DVDs. Is the TX850 generally picky with the brand/quality of discs used?

    The drive: MATS HITA UJ-832D

I am able to play and burn CDs.
I am able to play DVDs, but I can not seem to burn any DVD disc.

    I have tried Maxell DVD+R and DVD-R, Sony DVD-R, Ritek RiDATA 16x DVD-R.

I have even done a System restore to factory defaults and have no luck still.
I tried burning the Recovery DVDs as well as using the Roxio burning program, but the burns to go to 3%-5% before it ejects the disc and tells me to try again with a new disc.

Do you think this is a hardware issue? I have tried looking for driver/firmware updates but there are no new updates available from the Sony site.

I tried downloading new firmware for the MATS HITA UJ-832D drive but the install stops because the update is not meant for the TX850.

    Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions?

    Thank you.
