my daughter has a Sony Vaio VPCE series 64 bit. What I want to know is if I go to Start- Computer-C drive-**** there is a folder in there called Program files BUT I also want the folder Program Files (x86) in there as well and don't know how to go about doing this so I really need some help please. So when I go to Start- C drive - there will be 2 program files in there one being (x86). Will await a quick reply. Thank You

I'm not really sure what your asking or what your trying to do, but both of those folders are normal to have under 64bit windows.
64bit programs usually get installed in the (x86) folder and I think 32 bit programs just go in /C:\Program Files.

Hi, Thanks for replying, the problem is there is only 1 program files folder there and I need there to be 2 in there, maybe to fix this issue can I do a system recovery (not complete rebuild) BUT without it deleting all her other installed programs ? Thanks

The x86 folder is only going to be there if a program is installed that needs it. I guess you could just go into c: drive and make a new folder with that name?

    folder name:
    Code:
    C:\Program Files (x86)
