I've noticed that there is no Bluetooth icon present in Control Panel only in Notification Area on a task bar (through startup link).

Does anyone tried using different driver/software package on their Z?

Also can't find a way to disable Bluetooth Headset Skype Proxy.

[I have a clean install and not using Sony's SmartWi tool]

    Thanks

To enable the icon make sure that the BT radio is on and then go to settings and display icon in tray menu.

I'm looking for a different BT driver also that can support A2DP profile.

For the Skype question, you need to go to Tools, Options, Advanced, Manage other programs access to Skype.

I am having all sorts of problems with the Foxconn BT in my Z 1290X.
A2DP not working is one, also if I use my BT mouse and keyboard at the same time it drops the connection every 2 or 3 minutes.
